A tummy tuck involves general anesthesia while removing excess skin and fat from surrounding areas to tighten up loose skin—this can be done under local anesthesia if necessary (source). What to Expect During a Breast Augmentation Procedure

During a breast augmentation procedure, the patient is asleep and does not feel any pain or discomfort. After the operation, you will be taken to a recovery room where you will stay for about an hour. The hospital staff will monitor your vital signs and ensure that there are no complications from the anesthesia.

After leaving the hospital, it is important that you follow all of your surgeon's instructions regarding rest, diet and medication while recovering at home. It may take several days before all pain has subsided but it should be manageable with over-the-counter medications such as ibuprofen (Advil).

Breast Implant Placement Options

All of the above are considered placement options for breast implants. A surgeon will choose one based on your body type and aesthetic goals, as well as their own expertise and experience.

A dual plane approach is usually performed when a patient wants to achieve more volume in their breasts, but also wants to maintain some degree of naturalness. The surgeon will create an upper pocket that's filled with silicone gel implants, while also placing saline or silicone gel implants below the muscle. This allows them to create a natural-looking cleavage without compromising breast shape or size.

The anchor incision method is used when you want larger breasts than you currently have; it gives you maximum lift while still allowing your skin to stretch so that it doesn't become loose over time due to stretching (which can happen after surgery).

It's also called “lollipop” because the scar is shaped like a lollipop—a circular scar on each side of your areola where incisions were made under each nipple before being connected at both ends with stitches across where new breasts have been created—but there are many other names for these scars!

Saline or Silicone Implants

When choosing between silicone and saline implants, you should be aware of the following:

• Saline implants are less likely to rupture than silicone ones. However, if they do rupture, they may not be able to be replaced with another saline implant.
• Silicone implants are more durable than saline ones and will last longer before needing replacement.
• There is also a chance that capsular contracture (scar tissue) could form around your implant after surgery. The chances of this happening are higher when you have a silicone implant rather than a saline one; however, capsular contracture can occur no matter what type of implant you choose. If it does develop around your implant after surgery and causes discomfort or pain, it will need to be removed so that scar tissue does not continue to grow around it over time.* Your body may reject any foreign material inside itself; this means that there is an increased risk for rejection if we use an artificial substance like silicon instead of human tissue like fat or muscle as part of our procedure.* You cannot replace silicone implants with another type because they cannot withstand heat as well as other types do (so they would melt!).
